A beautiful red sea glass heart pendant, featuring a piece of naturally heart shaped, deep red, ultra rare sea glass. This piece of sea glass was found on the world famous Seaham Hall beach in Sunderland on the Durham heritage coast.
Red Sea glass is one of the rarest colours of genuine sea glass. Dating back to the turn of the 19th century red glass was originally coloured using small flecks of gold, giving red glass items the name "Ruby glass" to denote its precious status. Consequently, very limited amounts of red glass were produced which makes red sea glass an extremely special find. Hand crafted in fine silver this design has been created to capture the simply beauty of the raw, natural sea glass.
Suspended on an 18 inch sterling silver chain. The pendant measures 10mm by 8mm
AUTHENTICITY MATTERS: This jewellery uses real sea glass that has been softened by the Sea, worn by the tides and hand collected from the shore. This item is gorgeously packaged for you, ready to be given as a gift and is fully hallmarked.
